Types of membership
The Executive Committee will award your membership at one of the levels, and with the voting rights and authorised post-nominals, described below.

| Membership Criteria: | A full-time student of organisational communication or similar, at degree level or higher. |
| Voting Rights: | No |
| Post-Nominals: | Nil |
| Membership Level: | Associate Member |
| Membership Criteria: | A person with a professional interest in organisational communication, or who supplies services to the profession. Includes recent graduates at degree level or higher (up to two years). Need not hold tertiary qualifications. |
| Voting Rights: | One vote |
| Post-Nominals: | ASBCQ |
| Membership Level: | Member |
| Membership Criteria: | A person with tertiary qualifications at degree level or higher and at least two years' relevant industry experience OR A person with five years relevant industry experience (which may include period/s of tertiary study). |
| Voting Rights: | One vote |
| Post-Nominals: | MSBCQ |
| Membership Level: | Fellow |
| Membership Criteria: | A fellow is appointed by the SBC(Q) Executive Committee at its discretion, either on application or by invitation. Fellows will have:

- Return your application form with supporting documents and your cheque for annual membership plus the $15 application fee to:

The SBCQ executive committee meets once a month to assess applications and award membership at an appropriate level. We will contact you by the end of the month following your application to inform you of the outcome of your application.
Members may apply to have their membership level re-graded from time-to-time. An application fee of $15 applies at each application for new or re-graded memberships.
